Truth Exotic Rocket Launcher Guide for Destiny 2 Season of Opulance. Truth is more focused on Player Verses Player PVP. Its Exotic perk is Prototype True seeker causing its rockets to aggressively hunt down enemies. It also has the Grenades and Horseshoes perk, where the rockets detonate when they’re in close proximity of the target.
If you want to get Truth, you have a lengthy quest line ahead of you to complete. This guide will teach you how to start and finish the quest.
1st Step: COMPLETE A MENAGERIE RUN. Truth Exotic Rocket Launcher Guide Destiny 2
To start the quest go complete a Menagerie run and open the final chest to get that script.
2nd Step: GO TO PETRA VENJ IN THE DREAMING CITY. Truth Exotic Rocket Launcher Guide Destiny 2
Take the Awoken Script to Petra in the Dreaming City. She’ll send you on another quest.
3rd Step: COMPLETE ONE OF PETRA’S ASCENDANT CHALLENGE BOUNTIES.
Grab the Ascendant Realm bounty from Petra.
The week Truth became available, it’s the Ascendant Challenge in the Bay of Drowned Wishes Lost Sector in the Dreaming City. If you’re doing this quest another time, check out this handy calendar.
When you complete the Ascendant Challenge, you’ll get a broken map.
Players have datamined the rest of the Truth steps. We haven’t confirmed these ourselves quite yet but if you’re looking to jump ahead, we’ve included them below. There’s a possibility they may not be 100% accurate, so beware. We’ll update this guide as we learn more about how to get Truth.

4th Step: PIECE THE MAP BACK TOGETHER. Truth Exotic Rocket Launcher Guide Destiny 2
This is the longest step in this quest. You’ll need to find and decode four pieces of the map.
Note: It appears that Petra has a bug, and will sell you all the map fragments after you’ve gotten your first.
PIECE 1
Go to Nessus and use a Tincture of Queensfoil to gain Ascendance. Make your way to The Cistern. Look for the Well of Flame tower, and the giant tree in front of it. Turn left and look for the pool of Radiolarian Fluid (the white stuff).
If you’re Ascendant, you’ll find several hidden platforms. Climb them and you’ll find a chest. Open it to receive a map piece.
To decode the map piece, you need to turn in a Corsair Badge down in the Dreaming City. Kill Skorn until it drops a Corsair Down item. Look at the item to get a hint where you need to go. Use this Corsair Down guide to decipher the hint and find the Corsair body. When you find her, a powerful Skorn enemy will appear. Kill it to complete the badge.
Take the completed badge to the Corsair in Divalian Mists. She’s in a cave behind the pulsing tower. You’ll complete your map bounty and earn a piece.
5th Step: DECODE MORE MAPS.
You’ll need to find more maps and decode them.
“You’ve successfully decoded and reassembled the map, revealing additional instructions clearly intended for someone else. However, that someone else is apparently Fallen, and in your mind, that makes this whole thing fair game. That Rocket Launcher is so close you can almost taste it. Metal… soot… finders-keepers-style thievery… Delicious.
“Well done, best beloved. one final trial awaits you. seek out the relics, as i have shown you. there are seven, all told, and all well-hidden. the more you find, the easier your final climb will be.
“You deserve this. We will be reunited soon. Be well. Grow huge.”
6th Step: COMPLETE THE WARDEN OF NOTHING STRIKE. Truth Exotic Rocket Launcher Guide Destiny 2
Open the Tangled Shore map and launch the Warden of Nothing strike. You’ll need to finish the Strike while Ascendant. Use a Tincture of Queensfoil from the Dreaming City before you finish the Strike.
When you finish the Strike, you’ll get Truth.
“You emerge from the Prison of Elders with your new Rocket Launcher in hand, then send a quick message back to Petra to tell her the story. She’s happy for you, if a little uncertain about the morality of it. Shortly afterward, your Ghost receives a transmission from Werner 99-40 on Nessus. The Emperor has demanded an audience.”
7th Step: TAKE THE TRUTH ROCKET LAUNCHER TO WERNER 99-40.
“Calus is interested by your alliance with the Awoken of the Reef. Should the opportunity arise, he wants you to ‘put in a good word’ for him.”
