This up and coming Season of The Undying- also known as the Shadowkeep Expansion- is the setting stage to something not yet seen in Destiny 2. Welcome to the playing field, Ritual weapons. Pinnacle weapons will be no more, and it’s for the right reasons. Admittedly there was a power struggle with weapon types. The back and forth made the Pinnacle weapon’s a superweapon of a sort, leaving players with no choice on arms for activities. If they didn’t go with Pinnacle, then they were out from the get. How is that fair? They go from the best to the “must.”
To obsolete these weapons, we now have the Ritual weapons. Ritual weapons will not have perks, but what is it called a “curated roll.” They come fully Masterworked, designed by Bungie to suit as the solution for the power imbalance. These weapons are going to drop with the same set of “curated rolls” versus having random perks, as to set the opportunity in everyone’s hands. Another plus side to this indifference of change, the perks offered have similar damage increases in PvE than that in PvP. To create a fairer playing field, offsetting the ruckus from the Pinnacle weapons.
With the new season upon us, there is a lot of selection. Season of the Undying is stockpiled with weapons like the Vanguard Edgewise Machine Gun, Gambit Exit Strategy Submachine Gun, or Crucible Scout Rifle Randy’s Throwing Knife. These originate from contexts such as Gambit or Crucible. If you need any guidance throughout the missions, feel free to reach out to us at Destiny Carries LFG. Let us help ensure you succeed through the trials and tribulations in Destiny 2. Especially with this new expansion.
The Shift to Ritual Weapons
This shift to Ritual weapons from Pinnacle is leading to some alterations that apply to the damaging’s dealt. There is a nerf put on the damage-dealing perks in Shadowkeep. These include:
- Multi kill Clip
- Master of Arms
The Ritual weapons are going to be a change, but don’t let it throw you off. Get the latest of what’s available before its too late. Don’t allow the battlefield stock up before you do. There will be evolving information as the season unveils itself.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is open for players on October 1st for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. There will be a Google Stadia version coming out on November 1st. Pick your platform or glide between all three. With this new season, don’t forget that Cross-Play is an option for Guardians who appreciate choices.
